A delivery checklist for personalized gifts
What to verify before trusting a processing estimate—especially when the date cannot move.

Separate production from shipping
A two-day shipping option does not mean a custom item will arrive in two days. Look for the seller’s current processing time, proof-approval time, and carrier estimate. Add those periods together and allow a buffer for revisions.
Confirm when the clock starts
Some sellers begin production after payment; others wait for photo upload or proof approval. If you miss an approval email, the estimated delivery can move. Check the order workflow before choosing a deadline-sensitive item.
Create a presentation backup
If timing is uncertain, prepare a printed preview, a note describing the gift, or a small companion item. A staged reveal can still feel intentional when it is honest. Do not claim an item has shipped until the merchant confirms it.
